Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heat treated all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 6 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk (may require more as needed)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, optional

Instructions

Heat treat your flour

  1. To heat treat your flour, sprinkle it over a prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-10 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
  2. Allow the flour to cool completely before using.

Make the dough for cookies

  1. Cream together your butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. To this mixture, add your salt and vanilla.
  3. Sift your heat treated flour over the mixture. Stir until just combined before adding 1 1/2 tablespoons of milk.
  4. Gently add white chocolate chips by folding in with a spatula. Add macadamia nuts at this time as well if using.
  5. Portion the dough and roll into balls if desired.
  6. Place dough for cookies in the fridge until firm.
  7. Enjoy immediately or continue to refrigerate for up to 5 days. Keep in the freezer indefinitely or up to 3 months at best quality.
